The role of the Research Assistant is to collect, interpret and report data findings. This role ensures that all information in research databases is up-to-date and accurate and in compliance with protocol and overall objectives.
• Works with outside institutions and universities to gather data.
• Conducts literature reviews.
• Prepares interview questions.
• Collects and analyzes data.
• Conducts research and summarizes finds on project findings.
• Maintains quality standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings.
• Generates reports, graphs, and spreadsheets to portray results.
• Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Archeology, Native American studies, or equivalent work experience.
• Two years of previous research experience.
• Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and Internet.
• Native American hiring preference applies.
