The Administrative Assistant II coordinates and supports community-based cultural programs and services. Works in support of Cultural Programs.
Responsibilities
Administrative support tasks – assist and maintain databases, files, records. Interact with Tribal members and public by answering routine inquiries. Assist with administration of all aspects of cultural programs and Elders Council meetings. Including but not limited to setting up guests for Elders Council meetings, taking meeting minutes, and communicating with government agencies.
Cultural events reports, logistics, coordination, and support. Including, but not limited to: Culture Night, language program, Camp Kalawashaq, cultural days, special events and cultural program meetings.
Clerical support tasks – assist with filing, copying, faxing and mailings; assist with promotional materials; archive data; provide phone back-up.
Research tasks for Cultural Department – conduct research for initiatives and special projects.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates, or Bachelor’s Degree preferred; or a combination of relevant work experience and education is acceptable.
Computer literate Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and/or some graphics experience a plus.
Basic Accounting. Strong interpersonal skills.
Proven oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to listen and resolve problems.
