Under the direction of department management, responsible for monitoring, treating, and controlling indoor and outdoor pest activities at all Chumash Enterprise properties and structures.
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely and precise manner following Pest Control procedure log.
• Logs daily data on pest control into pest control software system.
• Performs routine pest control procedures to control identified/returning pests.
• Identifies invading pests and recommends to management procedures for abatement.
• Sprays chemical solutions on or near structures to eliminate pests.
• Performs bed bug inspections, sets up treatment equipment and applies treatment chemicals for bed bug eradication following established regulations and application instructions.
• Sets live traps and places bait.
• Removes deceased pests following extermination.
• Follows all safety procedures before, during and following application of chemical treatments including exposure, and ventilation requirements.
• Cleans treated area and remove pesticides following treatments.
• Must wear protective gear and utilize appropriate equipment during treatments.
• Coordinates pest control contractors at CA properties when needed.
• Performs other duties as directed.
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate required.
• One year of pest elimination experience preferred.
• Must have or obtain within first year of employment the Introduction to Urban and Industrial IPM certification.
• Knowledge of applicable, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
• Ability to identify common pests, rodents and birds and signs of infestation.
• Must have a working knowledge of live trapping programs.
• Must be able to handle and apply Ready-To-Use chemicals.
• Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office applications, e-mail, internet.
• Must be able to read and write legibly in the English language.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience and tact.
• Must be able to prioritize and complete tasks within time allotted.
• Current Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Native American hiring preference applies.
