Responsible for all Club Chumash desk operations, providing the highest standard of guest service (“Gold Standard Service”) while permitting acceptable profit levels in promoting all areas and events of the Chumash Casino Resort.
• Responsible for all Club Chumash desk operations including: greeting guests, opening and maintaining player accounts, responding to player account inquiries (comp dollars, points, cash balances), soliciting new Club Members, serving as problem-solver for property wide guest concerns, using proper phone etiquette and message handling procedures, maintaining updated resort knowledge providing information of and assisting with casino, Food & Beverage, promotions, retail, Chumash Spa, hotel and special events.
• Provides excellent guest service (“Gold Standard Service”) to both internal associates and external guests encountered at Club Chumash and throughout the Chumash Casino Resort.
• Interprets and communicates casino policies accurately and graciously to guest and provides solutions to guest issues through “comping” ability and flexibility.
• Focuses daily on the CCFP of player account: player Comp balance, Cash balance, free play balance and upcoming Promotions and events.
• Communicates with supervisors and managers on everyday issues and special circumstances that occurred.
• Understands and adheres to proper point and free play adjustment policies.
• Stays abreast of hotel and Chumash Spa rates, promotions and activities. Provides guests of current entertainment and shuttle/bus schedules.
• Addresses guest’s questions and handles guest problems, concerns, and complaints with objectivity and graciousness.
• Responsible for issuing promotional amenities, redemption of coupons and prizes, and maintains inventory. Assists/oversees setup and breakdown of promotions on the floor when necessary.
• Responsible for player accounts while maintaining guest security & confidentiality including generation of win/loss statements and W2G statements.
• Promotes and uses suggestive selling techniques to sell the Chumash Casino Resort, specifically Club Membership, hotel, Chumash Spa, retail, restaurant, casino, and special events.
• Performs office tasks, including: faxing, filing, copying, processing mail, stuffing brochures, posting of adjustments to player accounts, and computer data entry.
• Maintains workstations and common areas, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and readiness for guests.
• May also perform the duties of Assistant Promotions Coordinator when needed.
• Performs other duties may be assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.
• Minimum of one year of guest service experience required, two years preferred.
• Experience in hospitality industry preferred.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Data entry proficiency.
• Multi-task oriented and able to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for phone and written correspondence.
• Work effectively independently and with a team.
• Assertive and a self-starter.
• Able to work effectively under time constraints.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
