Overview

Under the supervision of the Custodian Shift Supervisor, the Custodian is responsible for general upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of the casino building, all fixtures, equipment in and about the building and casino grounds and parking lots.

Responsibilities

  • Sweeps, mops, washes, scrubs, polishes, waxes, vacuums, dusts, and decorates, and tidies assigned area of the casino facilities.
  • Sets up and breaks down tables as well as promotional and other displays.
  • Collects bags and disposes of trash.
  • Empties ash trays and trash receptacles.
  • Interacts with casino guests and Team Members in a courteous and efficient manner, answering questions and providing direction. 
  • Directs Team Members to the proper Team Member or department when they are unable to provide the required information or service.
  • Follows assigned duties and tasks with precision.
  • Notifies supervisor when unsafe, unsanitary, or defective condition is detected.
  • Blockade, shut down, and otherwise protect other Team Members and casino guests from the identified hazard until it can be cleaned up, repaired, or corrected.
  • Perform other duties as directed by a supervisor.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Basic mechanical ability is required.
  • Prior experience in a facilities department like that of medium to large Enterprises is preferred.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and stairs, using simple tools and cleaning implements and products.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
