Overview

Under direct supervision, the Slot Technician I performs standard procedures to repair and maintain slot and kiosk machines on and off the gaming floor; applying basic level skills, to ensure optimal operation. Ensures the breakdown, relocation, and set-up of machines and stands are completed according to gaming regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with gaming floor Team Members to identify malfunctioning machines on the gaming floor that require service.
  • Performs standard procedures to the following tasks related to slot and kiosk maintenance, including but not limited to:
    • Clear jams and reset bill acceptors and cash boxes.
    • Test and replace buttons, switches, and lamps.
    • Replace cabinet lamps, starters, ballasts, and glass.
    • Replace bill acceptors and printers.
    • Calibrate and test touch screens.
    • Money test machines.
    • Clear general reel tilts.
  • Completes applicable paperwork, logs, and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of gaming machines.
  • Adheres to and complies with established rules, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding slot technical responsibilities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Associate’s Degree in Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry is preferred.
  • Must successfully complete basic electronics or related course within six months of employment.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in the function, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electronic devices preferred.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
