Overview

Delivers to Spa guests custom massages and body treatments in which the quality of touch, flow, pressure and draping is safe, professional, and therapeutic. Delivers professional and excellent guest service ensuring services and amenities provided are of Chumash Casino Resort standards and AAA Four Diamond standards. 

Responsibilities

• Exemplifies high standards of guest service and professionalism at all times.
• Performs multiple and consecutive sessions during a shift and provides multiple body therapies offered in the Spa menu.
• Conducts all treatments according to treatment guidelines and follows draping policy.
• Assesses and accommodates guests’ needs, inquiring about physical well-being, injuries and allergies, and performs appropriate service.
• Delivers exceptional services: clearly communicates client self-care, educates and sells products to guests, and up-sells services to maximize return visits and retail sales.
• Maintains a smooth flow of services for clients booked with multiple therapists. 
• Performs at least two guest contact treatments per month as business allows. 
• Maintains professional relationships with clients and other team members.
• Participates in and contributes to Team Member meetings, training sessions, product knowledge classes and team effort.
• Maintains inventory levels on products and supplies.
• Maintains a clean, organized and safe working environment.
• Abides by all national and state regulations and guidelines for massage therapy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
• Valid county, state, or national Massage Therapy license.
• One additional certification in reflexology, prenatal or deep-tissue massage is required. 
• Must be able to obtain certification in all aspects of massage offered by the Chumash Spa within a timely manner. 
• Additional Esthetician or Manicurist license preferred.
• Two years professional massage experience preferred.
• Guest-service oriented: able to pamper, accommodate and anticipate all guests’ needs.
• Must be able to work entire scheduled shift.
• Available to work as needed, including weekends, holidays and evenings.
• Performs noncommissioned treatments as business directs.
• Clean, organized and detail-oriented.
• Multi task oriented.
• Must be a team player.
• Abides by applicable national and state regulations for massage therapy.
• Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Tribal Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
• Native American hiring preference applies.

Minimum Pay Rate

$16.66/hr + tips + commission (avg. tip rate is $43.54/hr, avg. commission is 25% of service)
