Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and successful close of assigned projects within the specified scope, budget, and timeline. The Project Manager actively manages delivery in a matrixed organization and applies a customer focused approach to meeting the needs of the enterprise.  

 

This role and its function are part of the Information Technology shared services model. A Team Member in a shared service structure, works within a dedicated business unit (including people, processes, and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service and is focused on defined business functions. These units typically serve multiple business groups enterprise wide, and typically have established Service Level Agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the enterprise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • Assembles project teams and manages resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project.
  • Serves as liaison between team members and management team requesting the project.
  • Responsible for managing the progress and completion of the initiative designed, including the personnel assigned to the project.
  • Ensures understanding and buy-in from staff on the changes the project will require.
  • Develops and maintains a strong grasp of the technical details of the assigned project, to include everything from software integration to cloud computing and database management and storage.
  • Supervises team members assigned on a project and works laterally with those in affected departments.
  • Uses metrics to demonstrate progress and provides concise overviews to senior management for use in planning.
  • Able to successfully elicit functional and non-functional requirements from busy project sponsors.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Specific training and at least one certification in an industry accepted project management discipline (PMP, CSM, etc.).
  • Three years project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully delivering projects with budgets in excess of $1M utilizing Traditional Agile or hybrid methodology.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
  • Organizational Awareness: Having and using knowledge of systems, situations, procedures, and culture inside the organization to identify potential problems and opportunities; perceiving the impact and the implications of decisions on other components of the organization.
  • Data Gathering and Analytics: Collecting, consolidating, and using relevant information; recognizing important information; tracing possible causes of problems, and searching for practical data/solutions.
  • Planning and Organizing: Setting priorities and defining actions, time, and resources needed to achieve predefined goals.
  • Oral Communication: Shaping and expressing ideas and information in an effective manner.
  • Written Communication: Expressing ideas and opinions clearly in properly structured, well organized, and grammatically correct reports or documents; utilizing language and terminology that is understandable for the reader.

Minimum Pay Rate

$81,130 annually

Maximum Pay Rate

$101,413 annually
