The Food & Beverage Runner ensures a consistent, correct, and quality plate presentation for all dishes and drinks served to customers. Supports and assists Bus Persons, as needed.
Responsibilities
Delivers exceptional guest service (i.e., prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive), using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards established by F&B management.
Understands and practices food safety and awareness.
Checks and controls food delivered from the outlets to the tables.
Ensures that all food is delivered at the specified temperature, with all appropriate sauces and sides, and that all plates are clean and neat with appealing presentation.
Facilitates communication between kitchen staff and front of the house staff.
Maintains familiarity with the food selections offered and the standards in service as set by the Restaurant Manager.
Responds to guests’ special requests.
Reports to management all inconsistencies in food and beverage preparation and presentation.
Maintains clean, safe, secure, and organized work areas.
May be requested to serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Assists other restaurant Team Members as needed.
Confirms all guests ordering alcohol are of legal drinking age using established liquor service procedures.
Carries service trays with drink orders throughout dining area.
Assists Bus Persons with setting and bussing tables, as necessary.
Maintains RBS parameters on service of alcoholic beverages, identifying guests showing signs of intoxication; informs manager on duty with any concerns.
Completes all opening, running, and closing duties.
Maintains knowledge of the food selections offered in the Sports Bar.
Addresses guests’ concerns and resolves issues as appropriate and according to policy/procedures; involves management as needed.
Provides information on resort amenities, events, promotions, etc. in order to increase levels of guest service.
Proactively assists other department Team Members as needed.

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED certificate preferred.
Previous experience in guest services is preferred.
Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits.
Must be able to read and write legibly in the English language.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to uphold department and company standards of etiquette and guest service while in the presence of guests and other Team Members.
Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of their confirmed training.
Must possess or be able to obtain a CA Food Handler Card within 30 days of employment.
Must successfully complete Serv Safe certification within 30 days of employment.
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Native American hiring preference applies.
