Responsible for uniform alterations and fittings for Team Members.
Responsibilities
Measures and fits Team Members for uniforms upon hire and when re-fitting is needed.
Hems pants and other items using different hemming techniques (e.g., blind hem, straight stitch, etc.).
Uses sewing, stitching, and hemming machines, steam presses, and irons to alter and finalize clothing.
Notifies Lead Seamstress in machine malfunctions.
Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Previous experience as a seamstress or tailor is preferred.
Ability to use sewing, stitching, and hemming machinery, presses, and other related machinery.
Ability to follow directions, instructions, and manuals relating to alterations and machinery used.
Forklift Scissor and Boom Operator Certification within the first year.
Must participate and complete required ongoing departmental training.
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Native American hiring preference applies.
