Overview

The Beverage Porter is responsible for the maintenance of beverage stations, bars, portable bars, and lounges in the gaming areas.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers exceptional guest service (i.e., prompt, friendly, professional, and responsive), using proper greeting and departure phrases and service standards.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the beverage station areas.
  • Removes trash, refills condiments, cleans service trays and other beverage equipment, and performs other related duties.
  • Responsible for stocking and cleaning bars and portable bars including stocking beer, liquor, and ice.
  • Responsible for retrieving, and restocking, glassware for bars.
  • Responsible for cleaning and bussing lounge areas associated with bars including removing trash, wiping down tables and bar tops, and re-arranging furniture.
  • Maintains beverage products and inventory levels at all beverage stations.
  • Notifies Beverage Supervisor/Beverage Manager of any beverage equipment requiring repairs.
  • Notifies Beverage Supervisor/Beverage Manager of any beverage related products that require replenishment such as ashtrays, cup holders, etc.
  • Communicates other beverage service issues that arise to the Beverage Supervisor/Beverage Manager.
  • Delivers excellent guest service based on service standards established by management when performing tasks in guest facing areas.
  • Effectively communicates with management and other personnel as it relates to servicing guests’ needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits. Team Members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell beer and wine.
  • Must register in the RBS Portal, take training from an authorized RBS Training Provider, and pass the ABC Alcohol Server Certification exam within 30 days of their confirmed training.
  • Previous experience in guest services is preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
