Overview

The Senior Beverage Manager is responsible for the management and operation of all Beverage outlets. Responsible for the successful coordination, administration, and direction of all Beverage activities. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring consistent high standards in quality, cost control, and inventory standards. The Senior Beverage Manager is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing an effective organizational strategy within the Beverage department. Sets objectives for future growth and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures property compliance with laws and regulations applicable to the Beverage department.
  • Sets priorities, providing guidance and assistance as needed to Beverage management.
  • Establishes performance and profit objectives for short and long-term goals for Beverage outlets.
  • Provides input for budgets and performs research and analysis for the property.
  • Assists in developing, designing, and the layout of new Beverage outlets.
  • Responsible for labor, overtime, liquor, and all other costs of Beverage departments in conjunction with other managers and directors with Beverage responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the implementation and adherence of all company policies established by the Chumash Casino Resort.
  • Responsible for budget implementation and attainment with relative Beverage managers.
  • Responsible for the coordination of Beverage service for all events, promotions, meetings, and banquets.
  • In collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage, reviews and recommends vendors based on quality, price, and dependability of product supply and delivery schedules.
  • Manages multiple Beverage outlets and delegates effectively.
  • Proactively involved in planning, reviewing, and development of existing and future operations.
  • Works with Marketing to creatively promote/advertise beverage outlets.
  • Responsible for coordinating seasonal changes to menus.
  • Continuously reviews the Beverage product offerings and pricing.
  • Establishes relationships; maintains and coordinates the same with all other departmental management and staff to ensure operations are within the framework of their needs.
  • Reviews all incidents and concerns of operations and makes a report to Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Hires, trains, develops, empowers, coaches, counsels, conducts performance and salary reviews, resolves problems, provides open communication channels, disciplines, and recommends terminations as appropriate.
  • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality or five years of directly related experience.
  • Must obtain mandatory alcohol sales and handling training within 30 days of employment and must be retrained every two years.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to sell or serve distilled spirits. Team Members under 21 but at least 18 years of age may sell or serve beer and wine in non-gaming areas. 
  • Seven years’ experience managing beverage operations.
  • Ability to interpret diagrams, maps, and deal with abstract and concrete variable.
  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, internet, and Point of Sale.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

$83,567 annually
