Overview

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Engagement Manager is responsible for managing Team Member engagement initiatives.  This role has a significant impact on Team Member attraction, retention, and the Team Member experience.

 

This role and its function are part of the Human Resources shared services model. A Team Member in a shared service structure, works within a dedicated business unit (including people, processes, and technologies) that is structured as a centralized point of service and is focused on defined business functions. These units typically serve multiple business groups enterprise wide, and typically have established Service Level Agreements

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for partnering with the organization and leadership to develop a comprehensive and sustainable Team Member engagement strategy.
  • Partners with senior leadership including Executive Directors to develop strategies and apparent links between engagement and their SMART goals.
  • Advises for and communicates the Employer Value Proposition.
  • Supports senior leadership and department management to help recognize the relationship between engagement and outcomes such as turnover, grievances, performance and net promoter score.
  • Responsible for the execution and overall communication as it relates to Team Member engagement initiatives.
  • Provides consulting to the Experience team and leadership to help leadership successfully build action plans based on Team Member Engagement survey results.
  • Develops and oversees Team Member events to create and sustain dialogue around engagement.
  • In partnership with Team Member Relations, identifies and addresses issues and solutions related to Team Member engagement.
  • Oversees the execution of a comprehensive social media strategy that raises visibility of the Chumash Enterprises as an elite employer, increases brand awareness, targets specific audiences for follower acquisition, generates inbound traffic, promotes positive community relationships, and generates strong brand advocates among audience members.
  • Collaborates with leadership and Chumash Learning and Development to integrate engagement concepts into existing and future supervisor training.
  • Responsible for execution of company annual events; holiday event, Team Member picnic, Town Hall meetings and other Team Member celebratory events.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition programs for the Enterprise including strategy development, program and system management.
  • Partners with audit and payroll teams to ensure accurate taxation of reward payouts.
  • Maintains accurate Team Member data within the current recognition system.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent experience.
  • Five years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably total rewards, employee communications, or employee engagement.
  • Previous experience working in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration.
  • Intermediate proficiency, including, Microsoft Office, E-mail and Internet.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

Minimum Pay Rate

$83,567 annually

Maximum Pay Rate

$104,459 annually
