Overview

Responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the Player’s Club Representatives and Ambassador Hosts. The Player Development Supervisor maximizes guest satisfaction by ensuring excellent customer service and safety are provided to Casino guests.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the supervision and direction of the Player’s Club Representatives, and Ambassador Hosts. 
  • Communicates and enforces casino and Players Club policies and procedures.
  • Responds appropriately to complex situations that may occur at the Player’s Club, Host Office, or on the gaming floor including problem solving issues with disgruntled guests.
  • Communicates with managers on everyday issues and special circumstances that occurred.
  • Understands and adheres to proper Player Development Department policies.
  • Communicates resort-wide information to guests. Stays abreast of entertainment and shuttle/bus schedules.
  • Addresses guest’s questions and handles guest problems, concerns, and complaints with objectivity and graciousness.
  • Responsible for issuing promotional amenities, redemption of coupons and prizes; maintains inventory, and assists/oversees setup and breakdown of promotions on the floor when necessary.
  • Promotes and uses suggestive selling techniques to sell the Chumash Casino Resort and its entities, specifically Player’s Club Membership, and generally in all areas including hotel, spa, retail, restaurant, casino, and special events.
  • Makes certain that casino rules and regulations that deter improper or illegal activity and ensure guest safety are upheld, including checking ID and emergency evacuations.
  • Implements and enforces break schedules for the Player’s Club Representatives and Ambassador Hosts. 
  • Ensures coverage for all Player Development time off including but not limited to updating the Casino Host’s schedules.
  • Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • One year of casino experience.
  • One year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and Internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

$55,048 annually
