Overview

Under the direction of the Floor Operations Shift Manager and Director of Slot Operations, the Floor Operations Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the Floor Operations department. Supervises the Floor Operations Team. 

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Public Safety, Surveillance, Cage/Vault, Accounting, Casino Operations, and Food & Beverage departments to maximize gaming revenue and service while safeguarding the Casino guests, Team Members, and property of the gaming operations and the Casino.
  • Supports the Floor Operations Shift Manager to oversee the daily activities of all Floor Operations Team Members.
  • Supervises, coordinates, and manages the Floor Operations Team Members on a shift.
  • Responsible for scheduling Floor Operations personnel in zones and writing break schedules daily.
  • Prepares and/or reviews shift reports on equipment malfunctions, Team Member issues, guest disputes, and other significant events that occur during the shift.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Floor Operations equipment, gaming devices, and materials function properly during a shift.
  • Observes and evaluates the appearance and job performance of all Floor Operations Team Members on a shift.
  • Resolves all Casino guest disputes and related problems that occur during the assigned shift.
  • Assists in the development of the Floor Operations Supervisors.
  • Ensures the highest levels of guest service is provided to slot guests and is maintained throughout the shift.
  • Acts as the Floor Operations Shift Manager their absence.
  • Trains, develops, empowers, coaches, counsels, conducts performance reviews, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and performs disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Three years’ experience in slot operations or equivalent casino experience, including a minimum of one year in a supervisory position.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, sales, marketing, promotions, or public relations preferred.
  • Knowledge of all applicable Tribal, State and Federal regulations.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Must also apply for, receive, and maintain a Tribal Key License through the State of CA Gambling Control Commission.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

$67,825 annually
