Maintains the landscape irrigation systems and its associated Rain Bird IQ remote water management system for all Chumash Enterprise properties.
Responsibilities
Maintains the landscape irrigation systems, which include changing valves and sprinklers, fixing lines, performing new construction, and installing controllers and main lines.
Logs on daily to the Rain Bird IQ remote water management system to assess irrigation effectiveness and prioritize work assignments.
Troubleshoots and remedies issues identified in water management system, such as alarms, shutdowns, and broken lines.
Understands irrigation blueprints and design principles.
Works closely with construction contractors to prevent damage to existing irrigation systems.
Applies advanced water conservation methods.
Creates water reports for management monthly.
Maintains adequate inventory of irrigation parts to enable timely repair of irrigation systems.
Establishes and maintains a sprinkler system preventative maintenance program.
Reports to the Senior Landscape Irrigation Technician situations that require attention or are potential problem areas beyond day-to-day responsibilities.
Works closely with the landscaping team to achieve optimal irrigation of all landscaped environments and understands the effects of under/over watering on soil and plant health.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Two years of previous experience in irrigation.
Proficient in troubleshooting and solving issues as they relate to irrigation systems.
Ability to operate equipment such as trenchers and other landscaping machinery.
Basic proficiency in water management systems such as Rain Bird IQ.
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
Must participate and complete required ongoing departmental training.
Must hold a valid California driver's license and meet the insurance requirements of Chumash Enterprises.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
