Prepares advanced and specialty pastries, desserts, and cakes in support of banquet events and daily restaurant operations.
Responsibilities
Prepares and serves advances and specialty pastry food items for a la carte, restaurant, and banquet operations according to established recipes and standards and using both hot and cold cooking methods.
Ensures the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.
Maintains full knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions.
Follows kitchen policies, procedures, and service standards.
Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Keeps the floor area clear of debris and slipping hazards.
At the end of each work shift, ensures workstations, cooking ranges, and associated equipment have been properly cleared of cookware and food items, and the surfaces of equipment and stations are completely cleaned and sanitized.
May work in different areas/outlets as business or staffing needs dictate.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Certification in Culinary Discipline is preferred.
Must obtain food handler card within 30 days of employment, if stationed at applicable outlet (e.g., Food Court).
Three years of prior experience in the culinary field.
Familiar with standard pastry methods such as creaming, pie dough, and mousse.
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Native American hiring preference applies.
