Overview

Under the direction of the Sustainability Maintenance Manager the Textile Technician Supervisor is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance and upkeep of the carpets, upholstery, and drapes at all Chumash Enterprise properties.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the Textile Technician Team to ensure carpets and upholstery are properly cleaned and maintained to the highest of standards.
  • Works with vendors to track and order carpet and upholstery supplies including vinyl, cloth, and carpet replacements.
  • Coordinates slot installs and slot relocations to ensure proper execution and communication with Slot Operations and Facility Management.
  • Ensures hotel emergency calls are completed and completion time frame is communicated to Hotel Management.
  • Transfers supervision of off-site projects to swing shift Custodial Manager when needed. Communicates project details to Hotel Management.
  • Responsible for maintenance of carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Works with Sustainability Maintenance Manager to plan, schedule, and budget routine carpet and upholstery maintenance activities.
  • Reports to Sustainability Maintenance Manager any situations that may require attention or may cause potential problem areas beyond their daily responsibilities.
  • Maintains awareness of utilities locations, electrical panels, A/C unit thermostats etc. and follows proper procedures should they require attention.
  • Ensures that all work is performed in compliance with applicable tribal, state, and federal safety and worker protection laws.
  • Trains, mentors, develops, coaches, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, and recommends disciplinary actions as appropriate.
  • Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Must enroll in Amdecon Crime Scene Certification within first year of employment.
  • Three years prior experience in a facilities department similar to a medium to large enterprise.
  • Two years of prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
