Overview

Under general direction of Government Operations Accounting Manager, the Loan Program Administrator manages internal loan servicing and underwriting for borrower loan applications for the Tribal Loan Programs. Ensures loan application documentation is complete and accurate, processing is timely and well controlled, and communication remains clear throughout the loan lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Administers loan accounts, including payment processing, construction draws, and payoff requests.
  • Reviews borrower documentation and evaluates eligibility in accordance with enterprise guidelines and approved loan programs.
  • Maintains accurate records and prepares management reports.
  • Verifies borrower home insurance coverage and coordinates renewals as needed.
  • Ensures loan collateral is maintained and documentation remains current.
  • Monitors delinquent accounts and partners with Accounting and Legal to ensure timely communication and accurate system tracking.
  • Coordinates with the Community Development Team to ensure HOA assessments and utility bills are billed appropriately, and that homeowner collections are remitted appropriately.
  • Prepares and executes loan documents accurately and on schedule.
  • Uses loan software to generate monthly statements, accrue interest, assess late fees, and produce IRS Form 1098 reporting annual interest paid.
  • Reconciles the loan system to the general ledger; investigates and reconciles items as part of the month-end close process.
  • Responds to borrower inquiries and supports Accounting with loan processing and underwriting.
  • Additional job responsibilities may be assigned as determined by the Government Operations Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
  • Three years of experience in loan servicing or loan administration.
  • Two years of loan underwriting experience preferred.
  • Strong financial analysis and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with loan management systems.
  • Experience improving lending workflows through continuous improvement and process automation.
  • Experience recalculating loan interest to demonstrate the accuracy of loan system calculations and ensure that accrued interest calculations are accurate.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with a focus on clear, responsive support.
  • Computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and Internet.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
