Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Supply Chain Management, the Warehouse Operations Manager leads the operations of the warehouse ensuring efficiency in receiving, handling, storing, organization and distribution of warehouse products. The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for the management and oversight of the Warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of warehouse supply management.
  • Manages the receiving, stocking, storage, and internal distribution of all items in the Warehouse.
  • Ensures proper inventory levels are maintained and ensures equipment is in good condition to maintain operational efficiencies.
  • Hires, trains, develops, empowers, coaches, counsels, conducts performance and salary reviews, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, disciplines, and recommends terminations as appropriate.
  • Responsible for receiving and record keeping of all goods which includes oversight of the Inventory Control Clerks.
  • Responsible for training warehouse staff in food safety (HACCP) of incoming and outgoing food product as well as warehouse safety.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Develops and enforces inventory management procedures including record keeping, work instructions, quality procedures and other standard operational practices.
  • Utilizes and enforces compliance of the inventory management and food and beverage operations system to ensure the accurate tracking of purchases and physical inventory.
  • Provides routine and ad hoc financial reports and analysis related to purchasing, inventory management, and storage.
  • Ensures operations and staff are compliant with all company, state, federal regulations with regards to safety and health standards.
  • Assists Director of Supply Chain Management with inventory and consumption analysis to solve inventory problems as needed.
  • Communicates with appropriate management regarding performance and other personnel issues.
  • Operates pallet jack and forklift when needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Supply Chain Management or related field preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in warehousing or inventory control preferably in the food industry.
  • Five years’ experience in warehouse management.
  • Knowledgeable in food handling procedures – HACCP.
  • Experience with inventory management software applications.
  • Proficient in leadership and management skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable law, regulations, rules, procedures, and administration is required.
  • Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office products and database (Excel) applications, e-mail and Internet.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.

$83,567 annually
