Trainee rotates through various functional areas, including, but not limited to: Hotel Operations, Human Resources, Sustainability, Food & Beverage, Information Technology, and Facilities during the eight-week program.
Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, the Plumbing Supervisor supervises and works alongside the Facilities Technicians who work primarily on performing preventative and general maintenance on the Plumbing systems at the Casino and other Chumash Properties.

Provides on-site emergency medical assistance as required, within EMT scope of practice and performs duties of a Public Safety Officer.

The Chumash Learning Center offers a vibrant, welcoming place for Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians community members to gather for Homework Club and to encourage lifelong learning with Academic Tutor support. Students' drop-in to get assistance in various subjects to enhance their understanding and performance, in-person or remotely. Tutors encourage positive student behavior and participation during study and group activities.

The Tribal Gaming Compliance Inspector, under the direction of the Compliance Director, enforces Gaming policies and procedures, codes, and laws as established by the Tribal Gaming Commission, The State of California Department of Justice, and the National Indian Gaming Commission. Under general supervision, this role conducts research and reviews potential grants and funding opportunities to support departmental needs and programs. Works with department leads to gather components such as narrative and budget, needed to match grant goals and work with internal Enterprise departments.
The Cultural Monitor works with archaeologists and developers on projects, observing ground disturbing activities associated with new development, archaeological surveys, federal, state, and local infrastructure (i.e. road widening, HOV, waterlines, utilities, etc.), and improvement work to assure the protection of cultural and spiritually significant sites.

The Career Cultivation Tribal Intern rotates through various functional areas of their assigned department to gain work experience and to learn practical skills to complement their education, area of interest, particular field of study, or a college major.
Volunteers at the Santa Ynez Chumash Museum & Cultural Center play a crucial role in the daily operations and success of the museum. They work closely with the Museum staff in various capacities. The current roles for volunteers include welcoming guests and providing them with relevant information about the exhibits, ensuring the exhibits are well-maintained and monitored, conducting comprehensive tours of the Museum, facilitating engaging activities for students, and providing support for public programs hosted by the Museum. No prior experience in museum work is necessary as training will be provided.
